PUERTO PRINCESA CITY, Palawan—Philippine Team-A, comprised of athletes from Davao City, completed its dominance against local and foreign rivals and claimed the overall championship in the 11th BIMP-EAGA (Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines-East Asia Growth Area) Friendship Games, which came to a close on Thursday at the Ramon V. Mitra Sports Complex.

PUERTO PRINCESA CITY, Palawan –  Filipino athletes continued their dominance with Jamie Danielle Nirza topping the women’s karate even as swimmers Philip Sahagun and Quendy Fernandez copped their mastery in the pool to become the most bemedalled athletes on Wednesday in the 11th BIMP-EAGA (Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines-East Asian Growth Areas) Friendly Games here.

PUERTO PRINCESA CITY – The Philippines grabbed two golds, while Indonesia and Malaysia split the other two events at the close of the badminton event in the 11th BIMP-EAGA (Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines-East Asian Growth Areas) on Wednesday at the Edward Hagedorn Coliseum here.

The pair of Malcom Gabriel Mag-Aso and Andre Alexis Macalalag dominated compatriot Gabriel Zapanta and Garnet Mediatrix Hervias in a straight set in the mixed doubles all-Filipino finale in the event organized by the Philippine Sports Commission and hosted by Puerto Princesa City headed by Mayor Lucilo Bayron.

On Tuesday, Junior standouts Regina Zoey Denise Bayudang and Khrystn Antoinette Valdez outplayed and outsmarted the pair of Maria Francesca Denise Almazan and Harlen Claire Herbabuena in the women’s double.

The Holy Trinity College in General Santos City pride pulled off a 21-14, 21-12 mastery against their national junior teammates.

Andrew Aguwellof Malaysia claimed the men’s single beating Indonesian Malikah Ahmano Satria, 21-17, 14-21, 21-11.  Indonesia got a sort of revenge in the men’s double championships as the pair of Ihsan Muitar Alimil and Bagaskara Herdian defeated the tandem of Aguwell and Bin Hazin Mohd  Raienul, 21-12-21-14.
