PARIS – On the eve of the actual competition of the 17th Paralympic Games, Wednesday, Philippine Sports Commission Chairman Richard Bachman was excited about the country’s six standard-bearers “to see you all carry our flag and prove that you will be an inspiration to everyone.”

PARIS - All six national para-athletes and four coaches will be dressed to the nines on Wednesday night as they take part in what promises to be a spectacular outdoor opening ceremony of the 17th Paris Paralympic Games at the Place de la Concorde to Champs-Élysées in Paris, France.

The battle is not yet over as far as the landmark decision of the Supreme Court regarding the proper remittances of two government agencies to the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) is concerned.

Chloe Isleta cemented her status as the country’s foremost lady swimmer, sweeping her last two events for a near-perfect campaign as she named Most Outstanding Swimmer (MOS) in the women’s class on Friday at the close of the Philippine Aquatics, Inc. (PAI) National Trials 25-meter short course at the Teofilo Yldefonso Swimming Pool in Malate, Manila.
