Sta. Rosa, Laguna — Artificial Intelligence (AI) has officially arrived on Philippine shores with the launch of Pilipinas AI, a comprehensive solutions stack unveiled by ePLDT, Inc. and VITRO, Inc., President Victor “Viboy” Genuino, alongside global technology partners.

Developed in partnership with Dell Technologies and Australian-based data science firm KATONIC AI, Pilipinas AI is designed to accelerate AI adoption among Philippine enterprises by providing secure, high-performance, and locally hosted solutions.

“This is about putting the right foundation in place for Philippine enterprises to embrace AI with confidence,” said Genuino during the launch held at the VITRO Data Center in Sta. Rosa, the country’s first AI-ready hyper-scale facility. “Pilipinas AI gives them access to computing power and advanced tools that help accelerate adoption, streamline operations, and drive innovation at scale.”

Joining the launch were Dell Technologies Philippines Country General Manager Ronnie Latinazo, KATONIC AI Chief Executive Officer Prem Naraindas, and ePLDT Chief Commercial Officer Jerameel ‘Amil’ Azurin.

The initiative builds on PLDT’s earlier rollout of GPU-as-a-Service, powered by NVIDIA servers, which opened access to high-performance computing. Now, Pilipinas AI takes it further by eliminating barriers to entry such as complex integration, infrastructure costs, and the shortage of AI expertise.

Locally Hosted, Globally Competitive

What sets Pilipinas AI apart is its strong local foundation. By hosting data and workloads within Philippine borders through the VITRO facility, organizations benefit from reduced latency, enhanced performance, stronger data security, and compliance with local data privacy regulations—ensuring digital sovereignty.

Transforming Industries, Empowering the Nation

Pilipinas AI will most likely drive innovation across industries like banking and finance, healthcare, business process outsourcing, public services, and academia. Potential applications range from fraud detection and AI-driven weather forecasting to enhancing customer experiences and AI-assisted medical diagnostics.

“AI adoption is no longer a question of if, but when,” Genuino stressed. “With Pilipinas AI, we are making sure that when Philippine enterprises take that leap, they do so on solid ground—supported by secure infrastructure, trusted partners, and a vision for sustainable digital progress.”

By spearheading AI integration, ePLDT and the PLDT Group aim to position the Philippines at the forefront of digital innovation, helping organizations sharpen decisions, boost competitiveness, and unlock new avenues for long-term growth.
