As artificial intelligence and digital platforms continue to reshape the way businesses connect with customers, one traditional marketing strategy remains remarkably effective: corporate gifting.

In an era where brands are constantly competing for consumer attention across digital channels, thoughtfully curated corporate gifts are proving to be a powerful tool for building stronger relationships, enhancing brand recall, and fostering long-term loyalty.

The growing importance of corporate gifting is evident in market trends across Southeast Asia, which saw the industry valued at over $9 billion in 2025. According to Deloitte, companies throughout the region are placing greater emphasis on employee engagement, customer experience, and relationship-building initiatives, fueling demand for meaningful and practical branded merchandise.

In the Philippines, where personal relationships and trust play a significant role in business dealings, corporate gifting holds even greater value. Whether used for client appreciation programs, holiday campaigns, employee recognition, or internal engagement activities, gifts serve as tangible expressions of a company's appreciation and brand values.

This increasing demand is evident in the continued growth of the Corporate Giveaways Buyers’ Show, the country’s longest-running sourcing event for gifts and promotional items. Celebrating its 39th year, the show is set to return from July 1 to 3, 2026, at the SMX Convention Center Manila with its largest edition yet, featuring more than 60 percent additional exhibit space.

“Studies show that up to 80 percent of recipients feel more valued when they receive high-quality, thoughtful gifts,” said Raquel Romero, president of World Expos & Concepts, organizer of the event.

“This emotional response plays a critical role in strengthening relationships—not only with customers but also with employees and business partners,” Romero added.

The three-day exhibition will feature over 100 suppliers showcasing a wide range of gifting solutions, including eco-friendly giveaways, customizable merchandise, premium executive gifts, and other products designed to meet the growing demand for personalization, sustainability, and functionality.

Organizers noted that, despite the rise of digital commerce and online sourcing platforms, buyers continue to value the opportunity to inspect, compare, and evaluate products personally before making purchasing decisions.

As businesses adapt to an increasingly AI-driven landscape, the need for authentic human connection remains essential. Thoughtful corporate gifts continue to bridge the gap between technology and personal engagement, transforming ordinary brand interactions into memorable experiences that strengthen business relationships.

Admission to the Corporate Giveaways Buyers’ Show is free. Interested visitors may pre-register through the event’s official website at corporategiveawaysbuyershow.com.
